Broken Communication

I don't know about you, but I've come to depend on my cell phone so desperately that when it stopped working a week ago (taking most/all of the pictures I was going to share with you with it), I was pretty upset. I was looking forward to sharing how they wrap flowers in newspaper and cardboard sandwiched between more newspaper and ice packs with small pieces of wood stapling the flowers in place to the giant boxes. I don't always mail-order flowers because it can get a little pricey, but it's a great way to ensure brides get EXACTLY the type and color of bloom they requested.

However, despite not being able to share that with you, I do have this lovely thought from my new friend, Laura Seifert over at Yes. Ministries: God knows the fruit that will be produced by the storm in your life. She was the guest speaker for a women's retreat I coordinated this past weekend and it could not have been more refreshing! I'm not saying that my lack of a working phone was really a serious storm, but it definitely hindered communication for the retreat coordination leading to no s'more's skewers (thank goodness for sticks!) and a few other minor complications. I hope you are encouraged today to look for the fruit being produced by your current storm.

Have a wonderful rest of your week, friend!
